With the back of his hand, he rubbed the tears from his eyes, and surveyed the barren scape. There was noone, nothing... not even the hint of a living soul. He turned, and looked back at the sea of thorns and his heart grew heavy. In the distance he could still hear the voices... They seemed like happy voices, yet, they mocked him... He fell to his knees and covered his face... Why...why... A gentle breeze rose from the East and caressed the body of the tired boy...A voice from deep within his heart now beckoned him...He rose to his feet, and his heart became strong... The passage lay ahead of him... the journey would be long, but the boy smiled. For the first time, he was not alone... luv, tman<3
